I bought this LifeSaver unit specifically for emergency use, in case a serious disruption to the water supply means that safe drinking water is no longer readily available.
For that reason, I cannot really say that owning it gives me “peace of mind”. In fact, there is a degree of continuing uncertainty because I have to leave the unit unused and rely on the manufacturer's claims that, if and when the emergency arises, it will perform exactly as intended.
Testing it now would require opening and commissioning it, which rather defeats the purpose of buying and storing a new unit specifically for an emergency.
In that respect, purchasing it feels rather like paying an insurance premium: I have spent a considerable amount of money in the hope that I will never need it, while also trusting that it will work properly if I do.
Bearing in mind the huge cost of this product, I would have liked LifeSaver to consider providing a manufacturer-approved way for purchasers to test their individual unit after purchase and then return it to a fully protected condition for long-term emergency storage. Ideally, this could include a test procedure and a suitable resealing or preservation kit supplied with the product.
That really would provide peace of mind. I would know that the particular unit sitting in my emergency supplies had actually been tested and was working correctly, while still being properly preserved and ready for the day when I might genuinely need it.
Until then, I cannot honestly review its performance because I hope I never have cause to use it.

This is a fantastic bit of kit. I have been using it at the local river to me whilst out on bike rides. It’s a piece of cake to fill up my water bottle and I enjoy being self sufficient. It’s a chalk stream and the purified water tastes divine, much nicer than tap water.

Well it looks nice and is now full of water. I’ll have to wait until after the zombie apocalypse to let you know if it purified the water enough so we didn’t die. If we still have the Internet and no body has stolen all of my solar panels so I still have power, I’ll be sure to update this review.

A most excellent product, great quality.
Although when in use in a civilian city, I would prefer to buy the Lifesaver Pouch in the colour Black, and DDPM ( Desert ) is not to a diplomatic colour to wear, for Force Protection security reasons.
I originally bought a Black version, but these rare black Lifesaver pouches do not seem to be available now.
Please Lifesaver, could you please reproduce the Black Cordura versions of the Lifesaver Bottle Pouch again please.

The charcoal filters made a huge difference. I've been using my jerry can for a year everyday and used it in some very dirty water,never got sick.

One down side. The tap seems poorly placed though this can be sorted by attaching a tube to the spout.

$50 shipping was outrageous! This sprayer will leak again when it gets exposed to a freeze. A rebuild kit consisting of the three small “O” rings would be much more customer friendly. The replacement cost for the sprayer and hose is in line with plumbing suppliers but such shipping charges to the US market is out of line. One season of use in my Scout camper and two cold spring nights were all it took to cause a leak
